Who invented MathPapa?

Robert Ikeda created MathPapa as an online algebra calculating platform. He holds a Stanford University Ph.D. in Computer Science a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, where he also Minor in Mathematics. Ikeda has competed in the United States Math Olympiad (USAMO) and created the app in 2016 with its base in Palo Alto, California.

Premium Pricing

While MathPapa has a free seven-day trial period, if you wish to enjoy the full potential of this app, then there is a premium subscription fee. Thankfully, the premium plan costs only $9.99 per month with a 50% discount if you subscribe to a yearly plan. For me, this isn’t a huge price to pay, and I consider it cheap compared to the loads of services you get. Another reason to get a premium subscription is that you don’t see disturbing ads.

By now, I’m sure you are aware that MathPapa isn’t just for algebraic equations alone. This excellent math calculator can be used to perform virtually all math-related challenges. Let me show you exactly how to do just that:

1. How to Square Root on MathPapa?

The MathPapa calculator can also perform square root operations. It is easy to achieve as it comes with the “√” operator. All you have to do is select this operator, input a number and click on “Calculate it!” MathPapa will provide you with an accurate answer to your problem.

2. How to Do Cube Root in MathPapa?

Finding cube root on MathPapa is similar to finding square root with few exceptions. To find the cube root with this algebra calculator, you must enter the following operators in chronological order. Let’s say you need the cube root of 64. To perform this task, input:

Enter 64^ (1/3) and click the “calculate it!” button; the calculator does the operation and gives the cube root of 64, which is 4.

3. How to Enter Subscripts into MathPapa?

Entering subscripts and superscripts into the calculator is easy. The app has a default keyboard, i.e., a Symbol keyboard and the ABC keyboard. To switch between keyboards, click on the three horizontal dots on the symbol keyboard. You can quickly get the superscript and subscript symbols from the ABC keyboard, select which you need, and continue your operation.

Being an intuitive algebra calculator, MathPapa also provides you with many ways to perform division operations. Asides from the regular division process, when it comes to dividing fractions, you can use variable keys and still get the correct answer. You can change the “÷” symbol with the “*” and reverse the denominator fraction.

Let’s say you want to divide 2/7 by 3/6. On the math calculator, you will enter 7/2*6/3 and get seven as the correct answer.

5. How to Write Exponents on MathPapa?

MathPapa can also perform exponential operations efficiently. To write exponents on the calculator, enter the “^” symbol. Let’s say you want to perform an exponential operation such as2^5=32. This is still the same as writing2*2*2*2*2=32.
